Zico Blames Silva For Poor Performance By Spain

Brazil legend Zico has been critical of Manchester city star David Silva, who was disappointing in the opening 5-1 defeat for Spain against Netherlands and the World Cup 2014. Silva started in the number 10 role for the world champions. He was creating a lot of opportunities in the first half, but the second half was a horror show for Silva and the Spanish national team as a whole. They were thrashed 5-1 by the Dutch national team, who they defeated in the World Cup 2010 final.

Silva Looking For Second League Title

Manchester city midfielder David Silva has been one of the best players for the club in the last few years. He has already helped them win the league title and several other trophies. Now, he is looking to get them to the second league title in their history with an impressive performance against West Ham on the final day of the season. City go into the match with the title almost won. The 4-0 win over Aston Villa on Wednesday helped them go to the brink of winning the league title this year. The club needed just one point from the final match in order to seal the title.

SILVA PLAYING WITH PAIN

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that star midfielder David Silva has been playing through the pain barrier for the last few weeks. Despite having acute pain in the ankle, Silva has been playing in order to help the team gets their second league title. City are involved in the race with Liverpool and Chelsea for the league title this season.

Even though they are third in the table right now, they have two more matches in hand over their nearest competitors. This would help them leapfrog the likes of Liverpool into the top of the table.

SILVA BACKS MATA

Manchester city star David Silva has claimed that his international teammate Juan Mata has not been used in the best possible way at Manchester United. Silva has been one of the best players in the Premier league since his £ 24 million move from Valencia in 2010.

However, Mata threatened to spoil his domination by brilliantly announcing himself in the last two years at Chelsea. The arrival of manager Jose Mourinho had been difficult for the 25-year-old, who decide to make a move to United in order to get regular first-team football.

Silva to replace Xavi

Barcelona is all but ready to buy the talented David Silva and make him their much needed midfield playmaker. They are looking to replace Barca’s experienced player, Xavi. Barcelona is concerned about Xavi ageing and is ready to do anything to get playmaker David Silva from Manchester City to save them.

A list of candidates was compiled by senior officials from the Catalan club to find prospective replacements for the 34-year-old Barca veteran this summer. All of them unanimously chose £50million-rated Silva.

100 CLUB

Manchester City got past the 100 goals mark in all competitions in just 34 matches, which was achieved as they defeated Cardiff City with a comfortable 4-2 scoreboard. Manuel Pellegrini’s side are going through a superb form as they keep on pressuring the table toppers Arsenal at the top of the Premier League with 1 point being the difference between 1st and 2nd place.

CITY RIGHT TO LET BARRY GO?

Gareth Barry was a full England international for a small period since his move to Manchester City, but he has now fallen out of favour at international level. He has not played for the England national team since May 2012.

Back then, he suffered an injury while playing for the national team. When he returned to full fitness, he found that his players had been taken by Michael Carrick and he has never come close to beginning his spot since then. He has also lost his place at City, which has led to the loan move to Everton in the summer.

THE LITTLE WIZARD

A product of the Valencia’s youth system David Silva has displayed continuous magical performances for Manchester City which have earned him with the nickname: 'Diminutive Wizard'.

Proof of this can be seen in Manchester City’s recent Premier League match against West Ham United where he not only provided assistance for Sergio Aguero but also grabbing a goal of his own.

SILVA STAYING

Manchester City's star midfielder David Silva has said that he is not interested in seeking a move away from the club. He has been long linked with a move to Real Madrid, but that will not happen according to the midfielder, who is more than happy to stay at the Etihad stadium.

This news will come as a major boost for Manchester City, who managed to tie up Silva on a long-term deal only last summer. Despite this new five-year contract, there has always been talk about the midfielder joining Real Madrid.
