Silva wants to stay with Manchester City and win the Champions League

The 31 year old Spanish midfielder of Manchester City, David Silva has recently expressed his desire to continue performing with the English Premier League club for a long-term basis as Silva does not have any desire on leaving the Etihad Stadium.

"I’m very happy to be at City and I would like to continue there for as long as possible. It obviously depends on my health, my quality on the pitch and if the club wants me to stay. I would like to be there until the end but the Premier League is such a hard league to play in, it is much more physical than somewhere like La Liga, so it depends."

"We did not win anything last season. The aim for the future is always to win titles, become champions of the Premier League and more. Guardiola is bringing players into the team and we need them." Manchester City´s David Silva said.

Since David Silva arrived to the Etihad Stadium back on July of 2010, he has helped the English club in lifting various pieces of silverware including: The Premier League, FA Cup, Football League Cup and the FA Community Shield.

However, one trophy that has eluded him and Manchester City is the UEFA Champions League as the Premier League club has never lifted the European title and the Spanish midfielder has suffered the same struggles.

The talented midfielder even said that it would be his dream to win the prestigious piece of silverware with Manchester City which neither of them have never been able to do.

If Silva does indeed manage to lift the UEFA Champions League trophy, he also stated that it would be the end of his career as the Spanish footballer revealed his intentions to retire as that trophy is the last major title that he has not added to his collection.
