SILVA SETS TARGET

David Silva has set the targets for Manchester City to achieve this season starting with the game against Newcastle. Roberto Mancini's men head north to St James' Park today to face a team who gave them a tough examination at Eastlands earlier this season.

That game was marred by the broken leg suffered by the Magpies' Hatem Ben Arfa and revenge will be in the hosts' minds for an eventual defeat that day. The installation of Alan Pardew as Newcastle boss in place of Chris Hughton since then adds anotherdimension to an already intriguing contest.

David Silva, who knows the Man City fans will be looking for their team to make up for Monday's abysmal display, said: "The games in England are very competitive.
