Manuel Pellegrini wants to stay more in Premier League

Manuel Pellegrini has revealed his desire to stay in the Premier League even after leaving Manchester City in the summer.

The Chilean will make way for Pep Guardiola but he leaves City on a high after having won a title in two of his three seasons at the club. During his time at the Etihad stadium, the former Real Madrid manager lifted the Premier League title once and the League Cup twice. He will be judged by his record in the European competitions and this is where Pellegrini falls short. Even after reaching the semifinals this season, his record in Europe has been average.

City will be thankful that Pellegrini has managed to get the club into the fourth place, which is mightily crucial for qualifying for the Champions League next season. City would have been in a difficult spot without Champions League football in the campaign when Guardiola just comes to the English league for the first time. Pellegrini says that he will review the options at his table before making his move. Due to his wealth of experience in the Spanish league, there are suggestions that he may return to Spain. However, Pellegrini has confirmed that he is more interested in staying in the Premier league.

"I will now starting thinking about the future. I don't want to decide just in one week. I will see different options. I am fortunate to work in five countries. But the Premier League is the most important in the world. The stadiums are full capacity, a party every game, fans uniting and singing. The atmosphere. It is important for managers to have this experience. I don't think that we need to speak. He knows perfectly what is this club, he has friends inside here,” said the Chilean about leaving City, his future, and Guardiola.
